Step 5- Pray Your Desires..No Really...It's Okay
Psalm 37:3-6 (ESV): Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Praying your desires can be tricky, but it’s not as complicated as we make it out to be. Obviously, you don’t want something to come about that isn’t God’s will for you. At the same time, God will start to speak to you about His will for your life as you draw nearer to Him. Furthermore, God cares about what you want!!! Maybe we have felt shamed in the past for thinking that our desires were not important enough to bring to Him, but that just isn't true. It is true that not everyone will get married, but when God’s Spirit lives in us and we are walking by the Spirit, He controls our desires. That desire in your heart is there for a reason
